Our unfortunate encounter with Rotate Distribution Ltd aka cdpacksuperstore.com now called ravesuperstore.com owners Mark David Aldrich & Josephine Sheila Aldrich bootleggers who for some reason be-leave that bootlegging is a legal business they been very happy carving out a good life for themselves since 2012 off the backs of others (writers artists record labels) at the same time causing misery for other websites like ours with their malicious DMCA reports all to protect their cash flow. Here our encounter..
Why are some of your Live DJ Sets now not listed ?
Due to ongoing battle with ravesuperstore.com (new site) claiming the rights to everything under the name rave trying to push out anyone that supplies oldskool Live DJ sets by going direct to your Host Server claiming to represent owners of clubs / packs / DJ sets, which we have repeatedly asked for proof of ownership from rave superstore aka Rotate Distribution Ltd as yet no reply, so to keep our Host Server happy we have temporarily removed some packs.
We put up a test name made up by us “Amnesia Rave” yes there is amnesia house out there and amnesia in Ibiza but nothing called “Amnesia Rave” didn’t take very long in an email to our Host Server Dated 05/10/24 rave superstore aka Rotate Distribution Ltd laid claim to it amongst others.
Wonder if they’d be as quick to lay claim to the contents or would this make them liable for royalties?
Same email was the following
House of music simply has no rights to sell any of the products in the Club Sets Collector’s Editions link.
(Krystal our old host server)
I think Krystal basically asked XXXXXX for proof of authority to sell any products we reported and of course he couldn’t supply any contracts as all products are bootleg copies.
(Above is just a blatant lie, Krystal never asked and they know it).
(All House Of Music Live DJ Sets you find are freely available across the internet we do not lay claim to owning them).
Please note we do not want any contact with XXXXX through you as he has threatened us with violence in the past.
(This is away of giving reason for going direct to your Host Server).
You have one week to reply before we start legal action on House Of Music.
(Been using this line since 10.03.2022)
(It’s now 4/11/2024)
“You have one week to reply before we start legal action” (we call this The Blag) This line is more to scare your Host server, your Host server understandably not wanting to get wrapped up in a legal battle and this is what they count on.
If your Host Server does this it should stop malicious DMCA reports in its tracks.
Your Host Server should make sure that the Take-down Notice / Request abide to DMCA rules.
DMCA rules on a “Take-down Notice / Request” (What they must provide to your Host Server or to you if they come direct to you)
1. Should also show proof that you as the sender of the “Take-down Notice / Request” owns the copyrights or represents the party who does.
2. Name: Proof of Trade marked / Copyrighted title (s) / name (s).
3. Image Rights: Copyright registration and or the chain of title for the Image (s).
In fairness was told by Rotate Distribution Ltd that if we bought our supplies from them and sold them in a format they was happy with (i.e. CD Packs they manufactured and supplied) we could continue to sell them without a problem! (which is never going to happen)
Bought from us: What the owner of Rotate Distribution Ltd aka cdpacksuperstore.com called at the time now called rave superstore bought from our site, looking back they clearly had plans to go into old skool rave, so bought the packs from us, started ravesuperstore.com then started the claims of ownership,
Items:
[Order #16757] (04/03/2022)
“DANCE PLANET” “DREAMSCAPE” “FANTAZIA” “OBSESSION” “PANDEMONIUM ANDROMEDA” “SLAMMIN VINYL” “UNITED DANCE”
[Order #16751] (02/03/2022)
“QUEST”
Probably more as he could of realized after buying these it wasn’t a good idea to buy in is own name.
All these packs at this time we been selling for well over 10 years without a single claim of copyright.
Bootlegs, talk about pot calling the kettle black (as the saying goes)
Club DJ mixes, tapes & CDs they are 99.9% Unofficial (Bootlegs) most have no clearance they have been tolerated as part of the scene (very hard to police) but does not change the fact that they are bootlegs this means that 99.9% of what rave superstore aka Rotate Distribution Ltd manufactures and sell on their website ravesuperstore.com and in their eBay, Amazon and Tiktok stores are bootlegs!
Don’t forget they claim to hold the rights to these or represent the owners that do.
Rave superstore minions yes they got minions they use to hound your host server, having other to claim ownership.
Wonder how long they stick around once the royalty rights man comes knocking.
As we been informed all is soon going to change due to now having the technology to scan mixes for royalty rights.
Promoters that claim the ownership on Rotate Distribution Ltd behalf for some reason believe they be exempt from being liable for royalties for selling of uncleared Unofficial tapes and CDs that been sold under their names (club names) have forgotten that most of these tapes/CDs carried their club names printed on them tapes/cd sleeves advertising dates and time of events and up and coming events address contact numbers.
Rotate Distribution Ltd aka cdpacksuperstore.com now called ravesuperstore.com knowingly manufacturing, distribution and selling these tapes/CDs without the proper clearance (which being a professional company no doubt ask for and have on file). Which we have repeatedly asked to see.
Pretty sure will make them as liable as the promoters.
Copyrights: Detail on names Rotate Distribution Ltd aka cdpacksuperstore.com / ravesuperstore.com and is minions claim to hold the rights to or represent the owners that do.

Host Server’s
What you have to realize is your Host Server probably has thousands of sites to deal with so if your competition / competitors play dirty this is how they do it with malicious DMCA Take-down Notice / Request in hope that your host server will just wants out.
What your Host Server should do is make sure that the Take-down Notice / Request abide to DMCA rules.
If your Host Server does this it should stop malicious DMCA reports in its tracks.
We have been contacted about Rotate Distribution Ltd by sellers removed of eBay.
We also sold on eBay as you did and other sellers all with our own unique packs put together by ourselves and we can appreciate how long this can take, Rotate Distribution Ltd aka cd pack superstore / rave superstore like us had you and others sellers removed from eBay with one exception DJ Sets online we don’t know whether their the same company or not hard to tell as they have many of the same products, write ups and images if not will assume that they must of come to some sort of deal with Rotate Distribution Ltd to be left alone. Rotate Distribution Ltd have got themselves registered on eBay VeRO which seems can work just as well for the bad guys.
You asked if their anything you can do ? Counter-notice
Change in the way eBay is approaching this now, when you get
“Your listing didn’t follow our Counterfeit item policy. We don’t allow counterfeit items, replicas, or unauthorised copies” You can send a Counter-notice direct from the same email / notice, you should find
“Go to Resolution Hub to view and address the policy issues in your listings.” from here you can submit a Counter-notice
A counter-notice is an appeals process to respond to a Vero copyright claim. eBay will send a copy of the counter-notice to the Vero member, who has 14 business days to respond. If the claimant doesn’t intend to file a lawsuit, eBay will send an email with a link to relist the items.
Don’t believe this do much to change things as the claimant just as to say yes I intend to file a lawsuit without actually doing so. We believe this is just a way for eBay to automate it to save them time and money by just letting the bots deal with it.
It be up to you to push it further with eBay by giving it a few weeks then getting back in touch with eBay by using one of it message links once on the message links type “speak to an agent” you may have to do this a few times before the bot pass you over to an agent once you got an agent give them the item number and let them know you have had no notice of legal action / lawsuit and you like to relist your item as you know this was a false claim of ownership.
Claimant / copyright owners you should of got these details in the original notice if not you can request them.
Not sure how far this will get you as yet we not fully put it to the test, if anyone one out there has please let us know and what the outcome was. We can then pass it out to help others from the likes of Rotate Distribution Ltd.
